Software Quality Assurance Engineer

The Software QA Engineer reports to the Software Quality Assurance Manager, and performs software testing to verify the quality of software enhancements while achieving on-time delivery in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand product requirements and use cases for how our software will be used in clinical settings. Write and execute test plans, scripts and cases to validate that software is ready for its intended uses. Publish test results, document software bugs, and work with developers and management to ensure software issues are prioritized and resolved. Configure and manage virtual and local test environments in support of QA testing.

Requirements

At least 4 + years of QA experience with good understanding of QA processes like test case development, test execution, reporting and validating bugs. Working experience in setting up and managing test environments, strong virtual environment experience, and preferably with Unix-based applications. Ability to work with minimal supervision in a cross-functional environment. Knowledge of Linux OS and tools. Experience in database testing, including SQL and ad-hoc queries. Testing experience with web-based applications, including performing multi-browser compatibility testing and knowledge of how to capture client log/exception information. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven attention to details in documenting your work results. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems or related field.

Beneficial Experience

Health care experience with provider-oriented solutions and workflows, imaging software, and/or data formats (HL7, DICOM). Automation (functional and/or performance) test scripting experience. Experience working in agile or iterative development environments.
