Quality Assurance and Software Development Engineer

Functions Include: -- Develop and enforce test standards -- Assist with test process improvement efforts and data quality program management -- Establish and maintain test libraries -- Conduct hands on testing for all assigned projects and document results succinctly -- Develop and promote production readiness review processes -- Consulting on testing related issues or problems -- Producing and maintaining testing information on quality assurance websites.

REQUIRED: -- Bachelor's degree in Informatics, Information Management, Computer Science, or equivalent. -- Minimum of four years as a quality assurance or software development in testing engineer -- Familiarity with automated testing applications and solutions -- Experience designing and implementing end-to-end quality assurance and testing methodology for enterprise solutions -- Ability to lead and participate in functional analysis that informs technical testing decisions -- Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills -- Experience leading testing efforts across a variety of platforms, operating systems and browser clients -- Extensive experience testing within in-house and vendor software environments -- Experience working with automated software testing tools, frameworks, and applications (such as Selenium, Cucumber, Watr, MS Visual Studio, IBM Rational, etc.) -- Demonstrated knowledge of different types of databases (relational, NoSQL, etc.) -- Experience in programming and scripting languages (SQL, java, JavaScript, C#, etc.) -- Experience producing automated test scripts and tools

DESIRED: -- Demonstrated knowledge of data exchange formats and protocols (XML, JSon, etc.) -- Demonstrated knowledge of different types of middleware platforms (WSO2, WebSphere, BizTalk, etc.) -- Knowledge of multiple business subject areas, i.e. Human Resources, Finance, Purchasing, Student, etc. -- Demonstrated excellent skills for client and interpersonal interaction as well as written & verbal communication -- Tool friendly and team player attitudes -- Familiarity with Agile or other Iterative development methodologies -- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision -- Ability to train and guide others -- Experience working at a large Research University
