Software Test Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Writes and runs manual and automation test cases/scripts, generates test data and verifies bug fixes * Writes clear, concise, descriptive bug reports * Evaluates functionality and usability of the product * Participates in product design meetings, release planning and scheduling * Organizes and manage testing responsibilities. Provides realistic estimates of effort/time required to complete assigned tasks * Interacts and communicates effectively with other members of the organization. This includes communicating status of assigned tasks and issues clearly and on time * Assures compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures and policies.Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and all other applicable standards. * Interacts with management in the preparation of engineering change documents

Education/Experience

* Good knowledge of engineering change system * Good knowledge of Linux and Windows platforms * Working knowledge of one scripting languageAbility to Install, configure, administer, and manage complex applications on desktop and mid-range platforms * Ability to write engineering documents, test protocols, laboratory notebook entries and reports * Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other scientific discipline * Recent graduate with related experience preferred * One to Three to years experience with Software Quality Assurance
