Software Quality Assurance Lead
Description : * Lead cross-functional QA efforts across multiple projects within a “Release” ensuring accuracy and on time delivery of a release.
* Lead individual QA efforts throughout project lifecycles to meet schedule and budget objectives.
* Monitor compliance to SLA performance standards with contractor resources.
* Provide input for improvements and enhancements to release management strategy across LTC.
* Ensure final acceptance sign-off from the business community.
* Develop effective QA tactics and standards, and apply to all QA initiatives.
* Serve as a liaison with the business community and IT to ensure that changes are understood.
* Facilitate the development of test strategies, test plans, and schedules.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to individual team members.
* Leverage test tools to include Mercury Quality Center and Quick Test Pro.
* Provide project level status and metrics as well as process innovation to QA Manager, project leaders, and appropriate business leaders.
* Provide sizing estimates on new project intakes time/dollars.
* Advise on, and implement industry best practices through ongoing research, benchmarking, professional organizations, and conferences.
* Enforce change control process.
Basic:
* 5-7 years of IT or Operations experience.
* In-depth knowledge of structured testing methodologies.
* Extensive knowledge of project management practices and MS Project.
* Strong organizational, planning and analysis skills.
* Demonstrated ability to lead projects across organizational boundaries.
* Results oriented, good decision making, innovative, and consistently meets deadlines with high quality deliverables.
* Proven ability to influence and gain commitment at all levels of the organization.
Preferred:
* Bachelor of Arts or Science
* Green Belt or Black Belt Certified
* Software Quality, CMMI or PMI certification.
* 2 years experience leading or managing teams.
* 2 years experience in insurance or other financial services industry.
