Quality Assurance Engineer
The essential responsibilities of this position are as follows:
• Gaining Product Knowledge – short learning curve
o Understanding and learning the technologies/standards needed for Product Testing.
• Product Testing – Manual and Automated.
• Preparation of Good Quality Test Scenarios for various features
• Preparation of Detailed Test Plans
• Logging good quality bugs.
• Working as per Test Schedules
• Preparation of Test Results Reports
• Working with different Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX)
• Working with Bug Tracking System, Source Control
• Working with Test Infrastructure
• Configuring and running Automation Suites for various products – working with Unix shell scripts.
• Writing Automated Tests using Java and various scripting languages
• Working as a team
Qualifications
• 0 to 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance.
• Good writing and communication skills.
• Programming skills – preferably in Java
• Working knowledge of databases, SQL preferred
• Basic knowledge of J2EE, JMS, XML, Web Services technologies is preferred.
• Exposure to .NET is preferable.
• Exposure in working with different Operating Systems, Windows or Unix
• Exposure to smoke, functionality, usability and regression testing
• Should be interested in learning various technologies and should be a rapid learner.
