Quality Assurance and Release Control Engineer

Responsibilities

* Thoroughly test the products through SDLC (functional testing, regression/integration testing, performance testing).

* Interact with developers during all stages of projects; participate in design and code reviews when appropriate.

* Contribute to continuous process improvements to increase the efficiency of QA and development.

* Develop and execute automated and manual tests.

* Ensure high levels of product quality.

* Log, track and resolve issues (bugs) effectively using the Issue Tracker.

Required Experience and Qualifications

* B.S. in Computer Science or similar discipline; others will be considered.

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance.

* Good technical and intuitive understanding of how software works (and breaks).

* Excellent knowledge of SDLC principles and QA methodologies.

* Strong knowledge of Visual Basic, Active Server Pages, ASP.Net, C# and SQL.

* Experience with structure testing methods and matrices a plus.

* Experience using software test tools and knowledge of how to properly interpret their results.

* Experience making, running, and maintaining regression tests.

* Experience in software release procedures and requirements.

* Experience in test automation techniques and frameworks.

* Excellent written, analytical and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to work well independently or within a team.

* Experience using and testing Windows applications, web applications and relational databases.

* Experience with object-oriented programming a plus.

* Working knowledge of software configuration management.
